I’ve been overjoyed all afternoon after spending time with our friend Mark. I asked his permission to share his story.
Around 6 weeks ago, we found Mark in his destroyed tent sitting in standing water after a devastating winter storm. Mark was basically unresponsive. 911 was called and they promptly helped Mark and took him to the hospital where he hung in the dangerous balance of life and death for many days.
While he recovered, the hospital social worker was able to locate a family member. We spoke together about our shared love for this man. They had lost communication with each other, and she was so happy to find her lost family member.
Mark is tough like a lion and fought hard to get back to rejoin life. A local pastor, a prince of a man, allowed Mark to stay with him after he was discharged from the hospital. Mark has been getting stronger and stronger every day and now he’s in his full glory.
Our friend leaves next week to live with his family in another state. Street Outreach is celebrating a positive outcome with such a beloved soul.
